Quick information
About Houston Animal Acupuncture & Herbs
Houston Animal Acupuncture & Herbs is a veterinary practice in Houston, TX that lists acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and pain management for dogs and cats.
According to the practice, Houston Animal Acupuncture & Herbs is a specialized TCVM-focused practice that treats only dogs and cats using acupuncture, massage therapy, herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, and nutrition consulting. The practice does not offer conventional veterinary services — instead, it focuses exclusively on integrative therapies.
According to the practice, the practice is led by Dr. Rachel Addleman, ABVP, CVA, a board-certified feline specialist (ABVP) who is also a certified veterinary acupuncturist (CVA). She currently serves as Chair of the ABVP Feline Exam Committee. The practice also states that this dual credential is unusual — combining feline-specialist expertise with TCVM certification gives the practice a strong clinical foundation, particularly for cats with complex conditions.
The practice is well-suited for owners whose primary veterinarian has diagnosed a chronic condition and who are now seeking complementary or alternative treatment options. Clients often use the practice alongside their regular vet rather than as a replacement.
