This page explains how money and promotion relate to what you read on PetAcu.
Our own products
9stars Wisdom Tech Co., Ltd. creates digital products such as e-books and printable reference cards. We currently sell them only through Gumroad. When we recommend or link to one of our own products, we say it is ours. Purchases and refunds for these products are handled through Gumroad under Gumroad’s terms and the information on each product page.
Products from other makers
PetAcu aims to be a place to discover acupuncture-related books, tools and products. Where we list or link to a product made or sold by someone else, we say who sells it, whether we may earn a commission, and whether it is intended for licensed professionals only. Orders, payment, returns and warranty claims for those products are handled by the seller under the seller’s own terms.
Some acupuncture products, such as needles and electro-stimulation devices, are regulated medical devices in many countries and may be restricted to licensed practitioners. We do not recommend that anyone without proper training and legal authority use them on an animal. A product appearing on PetAcu is not an endorsement, and we make no safety or effectiveness claims beyond what the maker’s approved labelling states.

Some links on PetAcu may in future be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. At the date of this page, PetAcu has no affiliate agreements.
- Where a link is an affiliate link, we label it next to the link or at the top of the page, and the link carries a “sponsored” attribute.
- We choose products for relevance and quality before we consider whether a commission is available.
- Commissions do not change our descriptions, comparisons or the order in which we list products.
- We do not accept payment to say that a product is the best or to remove criticism.
Sponsored and featured placement
If PetAcu offers paid or featured placement for clinics, products or sponsors, it will be labelled “Featured” or “Sponsored”. Paid placement:
- does not mean a clinic’s credentials have been verified,
- cannot buy a “Credential verified” label (see our Editorial Policy),
- does not change our written content about a condition, point or treatment.
Insurance, equipment and other guides
Guides about pet insurance, mobility equipment and similar topics are general information. We do not provide insurance, financial or veterinary advice. Prices, coverage and availability change, so confirm details with the provider, compare several options and read policy terms yourself.
Clinic listings
Listing a clinic is free at the time of writing. Clinics do not pay us to be verified and cannot influence our assessment.
