About Dr. Azzam Al Wathaifi

Dr. Azzam Al Wathaifi is a highly experienced equine veterinarian with more than 32 years of clinical practice in sports medicine, rehabilitation, acupuncture, and integrative veterinary care. Based in Dubai, he holds multiple international credentials including FEI Veterinary Official, Certified Equine Rehabilitation Veterinarian (USA), and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) Specialist.

Throughout his career, Dr. Al Wathaifi has worked extensively with performance horses, competition horses, and complex rehabilitation cases. His approach combines evidence-based Western veterinary medicine with complementary therapies such as acupuncture, laser therapy, ozone therapy, and TCVM to support recovery, mobility, comfort, and long-term athletic performance.

Beyond clinical practice, he has contributed to veterinary education as a lecturer and curriculum developer at the American University in the Emirates (AUE) and the Lootah Technical Centre in Dubai, where he has taught equine rehabilitation, acupuncture, nutrition, stable management, anatomy, and pathology to veterinary students and professionals.
