Anatomical Landmark
On the inner aspect of the hind limb, locate the tip of the medial malleolus (the prominent bone on the inside of the ankle). Glide your finger horizontally towards the Achilles tendon. KI3 is located in a palpable depression that can be found anterior to the tendon, level with the medial malleolus tip. In dogs, KI3 is on the inside of the limb, opposite BL60 which is on the outside.
